1 What data is collected?
StudioPulse reads publicly visible content on the YouTube page you're viewing — such as the video's title, description, comments, and thumbnail — in order to compute analytics like the Video Score, engagement rate, and title/description recommendations. This processing happens entirely inside your browser.
The following is stored only on your own device, using Chrome's local chrome.storage.local API:
- Panel settings (theme, compact mode, panel side, auto-open, etc.)
- A short history of recently analyzed videos (title, score, date)
None of this data is ever transmitted to the developer, to any third-party server, or to any analytics or advertising service. There is no account system, and no data is associated with your identity.
2 The "Analyze by link" feature
When you manually paste a YouTube link and click "Analyze link," the extension sends a request only to that specific YouTube URL you entered, in order to read its page content. This request goes directly to youtube.com — no intermediary or third-party server is ever involved. Outside of this explicit, user-initiated action, the extension makes no other automatic external requests.
3 Why each permission is needed

4 Analytics, ads & tracking
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tracking code is included.
- No advertisements are shown anywhere in the extension.
- No AI model or backend API is called — all analysis is computed with plain JavaScript logic, directly in your browser.
5 Data deletion
Removing the extension from Chrome automatically deletes everything stored in chrome.storage.local — your settings and history disappear immediately, since no server-side copy ever existed.
You can also clear your history at any time from within the extension's popup, using the "Clear history" button, without uninstalling it.
6 Changes to this policy
If this policy is ever updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Since StudioPulse does not collect contact information from users, we're unable to notify you directly — please check back here periodically if you'd like to stay informed.
